This time of year is my favorite.  The leaves, the light, and most importantly, the new families that I get to work with.  I love being apart of just one piece of their day.  Getting just a glimpse of what makes their world go around and their love for each other is what keeps me intrigued with family photography.  There is no better job in the world, I’m sure of it.

this sweet family contacted me asking for a casual session at their home and i almost couldn’t contain my excitement.  these in-home lifestyle sessions are my absolute favorite.  everyone is al little more relaxed in their own space, especially when a bottle of prosecco has been opened.  and when you throw in a beautiful family and home, it’s the icing on the cake.

the leaves were showing off this past weekend in highlands, nc and so was this family who swore they didn’t take pictures often.  i don’t believe them for one second because they clearly rocked it.  it’s always fun to spend time with a family that has gathered for a special weekend together.

i had the best time exploring the biltmore estate with this sweet family!  they made a special stop in asheville to take family pictures where they were married.  such a great idea!  it was so awesome to walk around the estate and hear them recall moments from their special day.  and, of course, a super happy baby makes everything even better!

congratulations on your new home adventures and enjoy your sneak peek…

the best parts of my job are getting to meet my clients, spend time with them as a family, and capture their story.  and my morning with this sweet family did not disappoint!  i am always amazed by large families and their unique love for each other.  it was evident the moment i walked in how excited these little ones were to show off their newest addition.  after their time in front of the camera was up, they would rotate from playing outside to checking in on mama and little brother.  pure sweetness.  i can already picture anton’s older siblings showing him the ways of the world before too long.

and this mama is a real, deal super-mama.  you can read more about her here on her healthy mama website, which she updates daily…with four kids!  when she isn’t providing other mama’s with a wealth of healthy knowledge, she’s homeschooling her bilingual children.  she’s a super-momma, indeed.  and i plan to be like her when i grow up  🙂

she’s also got quite the eye when it comes to finding props around her house.  the bronze bowl pictured below is actually made from a belly cast from when she was pregnant with her toddler twins.  how awesome is that?!  you can read more about these incredible belly bowls here.

anastasia, it was such a pleasure to spend the day with your beautiful family.  enjoy your sneak peek!
